Moving To Think

Healthy body, healthy mind – truer words were never spoken it seems! A growing body of research is confirming what many therapists and teachers (particularly physical education teachers) that physical activity on a regular basis is linked with improved academic outcomes.

In today’s podcast I am talking about how the movement senses are connected to learning and development of thinking skills – in particular working memory and attentive “on-task” behaviour.

I also share some movement ideas that work both the body and the brain together that I’ve found helpful in developing these skills.
